on to Dresden...oh wait, Berlin!

yep, it's been a busy few days since the last update. this one will be reasonably brief just like the last. we're exhausted and in need of something more than the 4 to 6 hrs sleep we've been getting of late. :)

anyhow, on with the story...yesterday afternoon I finished up my work at the Leipzig MPI and we took a train to Dresden. I have tons of great pictures from the walking tour that our friends Jarod and Anna narrated for us but you won't see any of those here. nor will you see any from the MPI Dresden summer part nor the pub crawl that ensued that night - but we have them, don't worry. however, i will mention that today we took a train ride to the town of Königstein, like Dresden and Leipzig, also in Saxony. there we took a short hike up to the Königstein Fortress. suffice it to say it was a great side trip. thanks again to Jarod and Anna for a great time and for being such gracious hosts!

this evening we took another train ride (it's how you roll in Europe) to the city of Berlin. now it's time to crash. our hotel is a few hundred feet from Checkpoint Charlie so as you can imagine, there's lots of interesting historical sites nearby. we look forward to the next two days of exploration before we head home on tuesday!

I finally got around to putting your blog on G-reader,makes me feel silly for not doing it before since I would have seen of your DE pics sooner! Yeah was great having you here and I am honored that you chose the pic I took for your blog (heh heh). You notice the reference to Leipzig in the new Indy? It got a few reactions out of the small audience watching with Anna and I here in Dresden. Oh! and I have to point out (like an ass) it's Gute Nacht (night is feminine - go figure). Talk to ya soon about meeting up next month! woot!
